Veho Technologies is an American logistics service company based in New York, U.S, providing last-mile delivery and return services. The company was founded in 2016, launching a mobile app matching gig-economy drivers with package deliveries in their local areas. I wrote their client facing articles and created video content for gig-economy recruitment.

Age Restrictions

 

First and foremost, Veho regulates who can become a delivery partner through extensive vetting. Most delivery companies hire drivers age 18+ to fill working gaps; yet most rental companies won’t allow people under the age of 25 to rent a vehicle. Why? Drivers between the ages of 16-24 make up over 28% of crashes in the US despite representing less than 14% of the population.

 

We will never sacrifice safety or quality for hiring convenience.

 

Veho works with contractors ages 25+ to ensure driver partners are safe and up to task.

 

Face-to-Face Accountability

 

Another issue that fleet delivery companies encounter is tracking employee performance for customer satisfaction. Quality Control Measures

 

We conduct thorough background checks on all driver partners and meet them in person. This process allows us to set expectations to set them up for success. 

 

The onboarding and registration process for new drivers includes:

  • A full background check.

  • A document check (license + insurance).

  • Virtual registration route.

  • Materials about operation and best practices. 

  • In-person new driver information sessions.

  • In- person new driver warehouse process sessions.

 

Veho’s ongoing quality control and compliance include:

  • Tying performance to individual drivers through weekly performance tracking (average CSAT & OTD per driver), ensuring a 4.9/5 customer satisfaction rating for deliveries with Veho.

  • Driver partners with low customer satisfaction scores do not qualify for continued delivery. Those with continually low customer satisfaction scores are at risk of getting kicked off the platform.

  • In the rare event that issues arise, we create action plans to address failed delivery and prevent future failures.
