Mob Jobs is an equal opportunity employer founded and operated by First Nations and Torres Strait Islanders in Melbourne, Australia. Mob Jobs educates employers on how to support and create a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal people while also recruiting First Nations workers for open positions across Australia. As a Choctaw Native, this company's vision resonated with me and I signed on to aid in their launch offering website copy, social media, and educational resources for both employer/employee clientele.
Social Media
Our social media outreach was geared towards recruiting First Nations and Torres Strait Islander people. I created campaigns that helped prep them for job placements through Mob Jobs.
Cultural Awareness eBook
I worked cross-functionally with the Art Director to research and write this informative ebook for Australian employers. It showcases the rich history of First Nations and Torres Strait Islanders while also detailing the atrocities of the Stolen Generation and political history to date. This book is sent to every client to help educate them on historical oppression and highlighting Aboriginal culture in the workplace.
Flyers and Questionnaires
I worked alongside Mob Jobs to curate Employer and Employee Questionnaires to adapt to culturally and emotionally safe jobs and recruitment.
Website Copy
I researched cultural bias and issues that First Nations people faced in the workplace to craft website copy that was both sensitive and informative. Our goal was to write direct response copy that encouraged companies to reserve Mob Jobs reparation hiring programs.
